Know Your Bike Maintenance Classes

Cycling Concepts is excited to launch these Know You Bike Maintenance Classes. These classes are part of our new CC University initiative designed to make cycling knowledge fun and accessible.  Make sure you are on our email list to receive information on all of our activities.

Class 1)   Beginning Bicycle Maintenance, Operation, Safety and Flat Repair

When:  The 1st Thursday of the month / 6:00pm – 8pm

Where: Cycling Concepts Rocky Hill

Cost:  Free to all

How To Register:  Send an email to sean@cyclingconcepts.com or call the shop.  Classes fill up quickly so call soon.

Required Equipment and Attire:  No equipment needed, Cycling Concepts supplies all the bikes. This is a hands on class so prepare to get your hands and cloths a little dirty!

This is a great class for the novice cyclist who is looking to acquire some basic bicycle skills, a perfect class for those who are new to cycling. Have fun and gain confidence while

bulletLearning the basics when it comes to cleaning and lubrication of your bicycle to keep it in top shape and running smooth
bulletLearning proper shifting technique and the appropriate gears for a situation
bulletLearning proper quick release function, removal of wheels and tire inflation
bulletLearning how to change a flat tire and what items are required to do so in the field
 
Class 2)   Basic Drive train Terminology and Derailleur Adjustment

When:  The 3rd Thursday of the month / 6:00pm – 8pm

Where: Cycling Concepts Rocky Hill

Cost:  $25

A basic knowledge of your bikes drive train and how it functions will allow you to make minor adjustments yourself and recognize when you may have a bigger problem on your hands.  Be the mechanic you were born to be after
